Riding surfaces

The ideal riding surface should:

absorb the continuous stress derived from the horse gaits, yet remain compact and elastic
prevent slipping and have an adequate drainage system
provide consistent performance irrespective of the frequency of use
be easy to maintain and be "clean" i.e. not dusty

» Riding surfaces with subsurface irrigation system

With the subsurface irrigated riding grounds, EQUITERIA provides a product that is ideal for creating a very stable riding surface with a high carrying capacity.

The irrigation is managed in an hydraulic system connected to the underground drainage pipes. A pump controls the supply and drainage of water and determines the stability of the surface top layer of sand, hence there is no need to irrigate from the surface.

This truly unique product is suitable for both indoor and outdoor arenas and makes the perfect surface for show jumping, reining and dressage.

» Riding surfaces with overhead irrigation system

EQUITERIA supplies and installs an overhead irrigation system that maintains the humidity at optimum level.

This system, consisting in the supply of atomized water, avoids the formation of localized water puddles and provides a consistently uniform irrigation.

Water seeps through the sand particles from the surface, creating a layer that absorbs and dampens the stress produced by the horse gait.

As a result the riding surface will maintain its natural compactness and elasticity.
